De origem alemã, o Teckel/ baixote era uma raça usada especialmente para a caça de pequenos animais.
Existe nos Teckel´s/ Baixote dois tamanhos, os quais são:Miniatura e standards.
Também existe três variedades de pelo, que são: Pelo cerdoso, pelo curto e pelo comprido, nós especialmente temos pelo curto e comprido.
